Application

The night serum is gently applied to the face, neck, and décolleté. On warm days, the serum alone can be used as a night treatment, as it contains highly effective active ingredients and provides the skin with ample moisture. The serum can be used daily or as a booster throughout the day.

Please pump the dispenser several times before first use, as it is a vacuum dispenser which does not contain a metal spring for ecological reasons.

The night serum should be used for at least 4 weeks to notice visible changes on the skin – as the epidermis (outer layer of skin) basically renews itself every 28 days.

For optimal skin cleansing, we recommend using the Lumirous facial cleanser, as it cleanses gently yet effectively. This protects the skin barrier and prevents the valuable active ingredients of the serum from being removed by harsh cleansing. This allows the skin to continuously rebuild and regenerate.

Composition and application feel

The night serum, with its booster ingredients, has a pleasant and light texture and absorbs quickly into the skin. It contains no acrylates or other unnecessary chemical substances such as silicones or mineral oils. The serum's active ingredients can therefore penetrate the skin immediately and are not hindered by a chemical layer, as is usually the case with serums containing acrylates. All Lumirous products in this line are fragrance-free.

Dispensers and folding boxes

All Lumirous dispensers are recyclable. Glass dispensers were omitted due to their poor CO2 footprint and the high energy consumption involved in their production, recycling, and transport. Similarly, the skincare line does not include jars or refill dispensers, as these can lead to product contact with germs and thus contamination.

The folding boxes for Lumirous products are sustainably produced from FSC-certified cardboard.

As an anti-aging booster, the night serum contains short-chain hyaluronic acid, which, due to its low molecular weight, can penetrate directly into the skin and promote epidermal renewal overnight. This can reduce wrinkles over time, and the skin appears plumper and firmer overall.

Yam root and gardenia extract stimulate skin cell renewal and collagen production. Vitamin E and pomegranate extract have a soothing effect, provide effective cell protection, and unfold their antioxidant benefits overnight.

The serum also supports the skin's suppleness and moisture levels.

Innovative active ingredients from science

The short-chain hyaluronic acid it contains, due to its low molecular weight – unlike the commonly used long-chain hyaluronic acid – can penetrate directly into the skin. There, it specifically promotes skin renewal and hydration of the epidermis. This allows wrinkles to be reduced effectively and in the long term, while the skin appears plumper and firmer.

Peptides that mimic biological structures (biomimetic peptides) promote smooth skin and reduce wrinkles. The alpha-glucan oligosaccharides they contain stimulate and stabilize the skin flora, thus maintaining a healthy and balanced skin microbiome.

A combination of active ingredients based on Beta vulgaris can achieve an immediate lifting effect and long-term anti-wrinkle benefits. The skin appears smoother, firmer, and visibly fresher.

Sodium PCA is a natural moisturizing factor rich in sodium salts. It supports skin suppleness and sustainably improves moisture retention.

Effective plant extracts

Yam root extract
The yam root extract it contains is rich in tannins, which have an astringent effect. This quickly reduces signs of skin aging and gives the skin renewed firmness and elasticity. Additionally, it stimulates cell regeneration, which can effectively slow down skin aging.
