Application

The eye cream is gently applied around the eye area – especially to areas of skin that are particularly thin and have lost elasticity. This usually applies to the area under the eyes and the outer areas where crow's feet can form.

Please activate the dispenser several times before first use, as it is a vacuum dispenser which does not contain a metal spring for ecological reasons.

The eye cream should be used for at least 4 weeks to achieve visible changes in the skin – because the epidermis (outer layer of skin) basically renews itself every 28 days.

For cleansing the skin, we recommend the Lumirous facial cleanser, as it cleanses gently yet effectively. This preserves the skin's natural barrier and prevents the valuable active ingredients in the eye cream from being unnecessarily removed. This allows the skin to continuously regenerate and optimize itself.

Composition and application feel

Lumurous products contain no unnecessary chemical substances such as acrylates, silicones, or mineral oils. These ingredients merely serve to prevent a cream from breaking down and to ensure a creamy texture. Through intensive laboratory development, we have succeeded in creating products that hold together and do not disintegrate without the use of these common substances. Furthermore, the eye cream has a beautiful texture and provides a new sensation upon application. Skin accustomed to substances like acrylates, silicones, or mineral oils will need a few days to adjust. Lumurous products are intentionally free of these substances because they are useless and only burden the skin. For this reason, all products in this line are also fragrance-free.

Dispensers and folding boxes

All Lumirous dispensers are recyclable. Glass dispensers were omitted due to their poor CO2 footprint and the high energy consumption involved in their production, recycling, and transport. Similarly, the skincare line does not include jars or refill dispensers, as these can lead to product contact with germs and thus contamination.

The folding boxes for Lumirous products are sustainably produced from FSC-certified cardboard.

The short-chain hyaluronic acid it contains, due to its low molecular weight – unlike the commonly used long-chain hyaluronic acid – can penetrate directly into the skin. There, it promotes skin renewal and hydration of the epidermis. This allows wrinkles to be effectively and permanently reduced, making the skin appear visibly plumper and firmer.

Peptides that mimic biological structures (biomimetic peptides) ensure smooth skin and a reduction of fine wrinkles.

Alpha-glucan oligosaccharides stimulate and maintain the skin flora, thus contributing to a healthy and balanced skin microbiome.

A special combination of active ingredients based on Beta Vulgaris achieves an immediate lifting and long-term anti-wrinkle effect. As a result, the complexion appears even, firmer, and fresher.

A saccharide derived from plant substrates strengthens the skin's natural defenses and contributes to balance by stimulating the production of antimicrobial peptides.

Sodium PCA is a natural moisturizing factor rich in sodium salts that supports skin suppleness and moisture retention.
